Talitha Phillips

Chief Executive Officer, Claris Health

Talitha Phillips was originally introduced to Claris Health as a client who witnessed the organization’s life-changing work firsthand. At the age of 23, Talitha was hired as the Director, and she’s now the CEO. Her passion and leadership spearheaded the transition from a small resource center with a $90K budget to a licensed medical clinic with a $2M annual budget and sites in West and South LA as well as a mobile clinic that brings care to underserved communities across LA County. Over the past 21 years, Talitha has developed a model of care that addresses racial and health disparities especially among people of color and supports individuals and families before, during, and after unintended or other challenging pregnancies. Before joining Claris Health in 2001, Talitha worked at the United States Senate and holds a B.A. in Organizational Communication from Pepperdine University. Talitha lives in Los Angeles with her two daughters. As a family, they advocate for underserved children and they have led numerous teams to Uganda, Africa to work with orphans and victims of violence and human trafficking.

She has now served as the CEO of Claris for eighteen years and is in charge of vision casting, leadership, organizational development, strategy and fundraising. Talitha holds a BA in Organizational Communication from Pepperdine University and is a certified labor & postpartum doula.
